Welcome to Colorist Meetup Podcast

The mission of Colorist Meetup is to bring together Colorists, Color Scientists, DITs, Workflow Supervisors, Cinematographers and anyone working with Color and Digital Imaging for Motion Pictures.
We invite our guests to discuss the art and science of color, and in the process, we learn about the latest developments in the industry.

Our meetups' content is truly unique as colorists spend most of their time in the darkroom, so it is rare to get this access and meet them in a relaxed environment.

This is our first podcast episode, and it is a recording from a meetup back in 2019. We decided to start this podcast series with Matthew Tomlinson's talk about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Matthew is an incredibly talented color scientist, and an amazing human being and this meetup was voted as the best tech talk of 2019

 - Welcome and Introduction
 - How Matt started in the industry and how to become a color scientist
 - The relationship between colorist and color scientist
 - The look of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
 - The game-changing moment
 - Details about film scanning
 - About the showlut
 - The Digital Intermediate

This podcast is brought to you by Colour.Training. Colour Training does courses that are useful if you consider advancing your career as a professional colorist.
Colour Training was well known for years in the industry as a reference training company and has trained many big media enterprises, but now it does online training and remote classrooms and had massive success with it so far.
Training is highly rated, and above all, made affordable, and because of that, the classes sell out regularly, so early booking is recommended.
